Reaching the 70-year milestone confirms the validity of the entrepreneurial project started by Roberto Meschiari in 1956: since then, the company has built its path on a concrete work culture, where the experience gained over the years goes hand in hand with a constant focus on innovation.

This attitude is reflected in Italautocar’s design approach, which has been refined decade after decade, solving real challenges encountered in the field. Today, our method is expressed in a constant evolutionary cycle: from prototyping to workshop tests, up to the final verification on the vehicle, every solution integrates direct feedback from those who operate in the sector. It is precisely this synthesis between technical heritage and listening to users that allows us to offer bodybuilders components that are easier to assemble, safer in operation, and perfectly aligned with the needs of modern transport.
OVERCOMING CHALLENGES
Seventy years of history are not a linear path; they are the result of a constant capacity for adaptation. Italautocar has navigated major industry shifts, embracing technological transitions and overcoming cyclical market crises with determination. The company’s solidity was also measured in moments of emergency, such as during the 2020 flood in Nonantola. On that occasion, the plant ended up underwater, but the collective response was immediate: management and employees formed a united front, working side by side to shovel mud and restore production in record time.
It is in moments like this that our work culture has proven capable of turning difficulties into an opportunity to strengthen the bond between people.
ACQUISITION OF ITAL-AUTO AND ITALTECNICA
In 2023, Italautocar acquired a new company, now named Ital-auto, based in Pomezia, in order to offer a better and faster service to all our customers in Central and Southern Italy. Also in 2023, it acquired ownership of the manufacturing company ITALTECNICA. Starting as a small mechanical workshop founded in 1983 and always serving Italautocar, in 2023 Italtecnica opened a new facility, also in Nonantola, specialized in the production of pillars, the company’s flagship product. Through these developments, Italautocar aims to offer its customers excellent service and quality.

This vision is supported by a squad of 40 professionals who represent the pulsating heart of the audience.
